Two people, a whole lot of stories

Old Town Antiques & Books is Carol and Dave Jouppi, and a whole shop of well-loved things in a brick building on East 4th Street, under a dark blue awning.

The keepers of the shop

Carol and Dave are the welcoming faces behind the counter. Ask about almost anything on the shelves and you’ll get what they know about it: where it came from, what it is, why it lasted.

They know Duluth, they know their stuff, and they’re just as happy to point you toward a good lunch as they are to ring up a first edition. Fair offers are always welcome.

The storefront on East Fourth

You’ll know the place by the brick building on East 4th Street and its dark blue awning. Behind the glass is a single floor packed corner to corner: part shop, part museum, part treasure hunt, and it turns over every single week.

It’s the kind of place that rewards a slow, curious wander, so give yourself a little time when you stop in. You never know what will have arrived since your last visit.

What we believe

A few things we hold to

  • Everything has a story

And we love telling it. Where it came from, who made it, why it lasted.

  • Worth saving

We work with local artists to repair and restore the pieces that deserve it.

  • Fair to everyone

Fair prices, fair offers, and a warm welcome whether you’re buying or just looking.

“One of the gems of Duluth. The owners are welcoming, friendly, and they really know their stuff.”
